## Measure presentation engagement

AutoScaled has extensive tracking capabilities. When you share a presentation using AutoScaled, we keep track of various metrics **per recipient** through the **Analytics** panel on an individual presentation:

</Frame>

Once you open the analytics panel, a modal appears with the engagement metrics for the presentation:

<Note>
  As of **05/12/2026**, we are redesigning the analytics experience to make it easier to get insights **and** see which of your presentations are driving value for your organization. You can track progress on our [public product roadmap](https://autoscaled.com/pricing/#upcoming-features).

### Tracking views of presentations and decks

**Views** are the total number of times a presentation has been viewed. Every time a presentation is opened via the dedicated link or branded landing page, a view is counted.

Example:

> *Jane receives a presentation via email. She clicks the link. The view count will be 1. Jane shares the presentation link with John. John clicks the link. The view count will be 2 after John's click. A week later, Jane goes back to the same email. She clicks the link again. The view count increases by 1 and becomes 3.*

### Tracking unique views of presentations and decks

**Unique views** are the total number of times a presentation was viewed by a unique person. When a new user opens a presentation via the dedicated link or branded landing page, a unique view is counted.

Example:

> *Jane receives a presentation via email. She clicks the link. The unique view count will be 1. Jane shares the presentation link with John. John clicks the link. The unique view count will be 2 after John's click. A week later, Jane goes back to the same email. She clicks the link again. The unique view count will remain 2 as Jane has already viewed the presentation and is not an additional unique viewer.*

### Tracking downloads of presentations and decks

**Downloads** are the total number of times a presentation was downloaded.

<Tip>
  Ensure you **allow downloading** in order to see download metrics. If downloading is disabled, the metric will show as "-".
</Tip>

### Tracking the last view of presentations and decks

**Last viewed** is the last date on which the presentation was viewed. It helps you follow up at the right time with a prospect.

Example:

> *Jane receives a presentation via email. She clicks the link on 01/01/2026. The last viewed date will be 01/01/2026. Jane shares the presentation link with John. John clicks the link on 01/02/2026. The last viewed date will be updated to 01/02/2026. A week later, Jane goes back to the same email. She clicks the link again. The last viewed date will be updated to 01/09/2026.*

#### Tracking permissions

When you share a presentation via a branded landing page or email, recipients see a message that **presentation activity is tracked**. By opening the presentation, your client or stakeholder agrees to that tracking.

If you do not want to track presentation engagement, do not use AutoScaled as your main sharing method; share directly from Google Drive or via email instead.
